Mataora: Encounters between Medicine and the Arts takes its inspiration from the highly successful UK event Medicine Unboxed devised by oncologist Sam Guglani. It is presented by Victoria University of Wellington staff with expertise in various facets of health, wellbeing and creativity, along with other community members committed to exploring the juncture between medicine and the arts.
